Article Scanning

The OktoPOS POS system supports practically all scanners available on the market.

The scanners must be configured for keyboard emulation. There may be other configurations for the Recognition of different barcode formats necessary. The scanner is connected to the cash register via USB.

Booking of Beverage Crates

If you press this function button and then scan the barcode of a bottle, the bottle will not be placed in the shopping cart, but the entire crate.

Credits

With this function button, articles are credited to the customer. For example, in the case of returned goods.

Vouchers (Amazon, iTunes, etc.)

Third-party vouchers are not booked as sales and without VAT. However, the received funds are included in the cash journal of the register. Payments cannot be discounted.

Up to 100,000 Items

The administration interface in the OktoPOS Manager is designed for a large number of items. With special functions, you can perform mass changes. For example, increase the price by a certain percentage.

Shelf label printer

Shelf Labels

With this printer you can print shelf labels on thin cardboard with the OktoPOS Manager. The labels are pushed into the shelf rails (not glued).

The articles of the labels to be printed can either be selected manually in the OktoPOS Manager or first be scanned with the mobile device.

Charging on Rooms with OktoPOS Cash.

OktoPOS Cash is suitable for use in hotels.

Transactions can be booked on rooms. In the OktoPOS Manager, the transactions can be filtered by room and be marked as billed.

OktoPOS has interfaces to Oracle Hospitality and Infor.

How is the system connected?

Not connected to a third party PMS. Room-billing function in the OktoPOS Manager is used.

Oracle customer support configures the required settings.

How can I charge on a room?

A room number is assigned to the transaction in the cash register. The transaction is billed on the room.

A. The room number, the guest name or the key card is entered in the guest-search dialog.

B. The hotel PMS returns the hits.

C. The bill or the open table is assigned to the hotel guest.

D. When finalizing the transaction, the cash register requests the validity of the room-charge for the particular guest at the Oracle hotel PMS.

E. In case of a positive response, the bill is charged to the guest-room in the Oracle hotel PMS.

How do the charges get on the hotel bill?

The total sum is entered manually in the PMS. A PDF with the detailed room-charge bills can be attached to the guest folio.

The room-charge bills are automatically transferred to the guest-folio in the hotel PMS.

Which system processes the fiscal transactions?

OktoPOS Cash.

OktoPOS processes the fiscal transactions. The transfer to the hotel PMS serves only for collecting the open bills and for reporting purposes.

Are safety checks performed by the system?
For example, if the guest has already checked out.
